Thanksgiving is one of our favorite times of the year. Our busy wedding season has slowed down and the holiday season actually give us a little bit of breathing time! And once you add in more time to spend with our families, it's no wonder why we love it so much!
If you're the one who's hosting the clan for turkey day, and you still haven't figured out what to do with your table, we have some ideas for you...and you may already have some of these things lying around your house!
Take a look at some of these images, below. We love this table because it's both elegant and rustic at the same time, with elements that can be pulled together in no time! This design was used at a recent styled shoot that incorporated our all-wood farm tables and cross back chairs. We then added in a surprise element by using a herringbone throw from MacKimmie Co.--instead of a standard table linen or runner! For a splash of color, we used some additional throws on the backs of the chairs...kind of give it a cozy feel, doesn't it? (To see the entire photo shoot, click here!)
For the place settings, we added in some mismatched china and gold-toned flatware, some linen napkins tied up with a little silky cord (or twine would do!), a few glass votives from the Dollar Store (jazzed up with some gold painted polka dots!), and VOILA! You're good to go! If you're lucky enough to know a floral designer as talented as Carolyn Valenti, then we recommend splurging on the centerpiece a bit. But if a fresh, professionally-done arrangement just isn't in your budget, we'll have some more pointers later on next week!
Have you planned our your Thanksgiving Day tablescape yet? We'd love to hear about your creative ideas!
