Think Tank Luncheon

The main idea behind the Lenox Wedding Planner Tour was to educate event planners from around the country about the Berkshires and put our beautiful region at the top of their minds when they make suggestions to their “destination” brides.  So an integral part of our event was the Think Tank Luncheon, held at the Apple Tree Inn, which incorporated not only our committee and our guests, but also key members of our community (chamber members, journalists, members of the Berkshire Visitors Bureau, etc.).  This was where we could address questions the planners had about our region and listen to suggestions and ideas from them about how we could increase the destination wedding business in our area.  Take a look at some of the photos below, by photographer Ogden Gigli, that show us hard at work (and still having fun!)…

Tour of the Town

Filed under: Latest News,Lenox Wedding Planner Tour — Classical Tents @ 5:37 pm

Morning may have come a bit early on Wednesday, following our first full (um, VERY full) day on the Tour.  The wedding planners were invited to begin their day with breakfast at their inns, followed by a group gathering at the Lenox Library.  From there, we walked around the village, visiting places like St. Ann’s, the Gateways Inn, the Purple Plume, lunch at Haven, Firefly and so on, so our guests could see the many fun places to shop and dine while visiting Lenox.  For this part of the Tour, we were accompanied by photographer Tony Israel.  Take a look at his beautiful images, below!

Table Design Challenge – Part 3

Our final entry about the Table Design Challenge brings us images from Tricia McCormack Photography, beautiful tablescapes from five of our guest planners and two more wonderful Lenox venues–Gateways Inn and Seven Hills Inn.  This “challenge” was so much fun…fun to see how each designer interpreted the inspiration invitations from Crane, fun to showcase the huge variety of linens, china, glassware, etc. that Classical Tents is able to provide and fun to see the clever use of other “found” design elements!  We especially love when people use our new farmtop tables!  Check out these images…we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Lenox Wedding Tour; Blantyre

Back in November, we had so much fun seeing all of our hard work come to fruition with the very successful Lenox Wedding Planner Tour.  (I posted some images from the Table Design Challenge last week.)  The first night of the Tour kicked off with a welcome dinner at Blantyre…talk about service!  I was SO impressed with the staff at Blantyre.  Outstanding customer service is truly their number one priority!  The estate is beautiful, the rooms–out of this world (in fact, there was one bathroom in particular that we all wanted to get lost in!), our glasses were NEVER empty, and the dinner simply melted in your mouth.  All in all, the first night’s event was the perfect way to get things rolling!  Many thanks to John Seakwood, who photographed the evening (see images, below).

Step Back In Time

Remember when we were little girls and having a tea party was all the rage?  We’d don our fanciest dresses and invite our friends and their dolls to come over and sit around the table like little ladies.  The table would be adorned with beautiful dishes and perfect linens…  Well, one of the hottest trends today is to have a ladies’ luncheon or even a vintage style wedding using an assortment (yes, that’s right…mix and match) of old, beautiful china patterns.  At Classical Tents, we’ve been busy expanding our vintage china collection and are excited to be able to bring this trend to you in the very near future.  Give us a call today to see when this will be available and what your endless options are!
