This post really has a dual purpose…we all know kids LOVE to color, paint or just plain be creative. Why not plan a whole event within an event? Keep everyone at the party happy by keeping the kids occupied with paints, canvases, crayons, paper and painting-inspired snacks and decor! Put it all together under a small tent, and they’ll feel like they’re in their own gallery! We’ve assembled a bunch of images from other people’s paint parties for you to get inspired. One suggestion…be sure to let the parents know what’s going on so they can bring old tees/smocks–and use washable paints!

As if you didn’t already have enough decisions to make regarding your wedding and event decor, we thought we’d throw one more at you! Chair decor! Many people figure all they have to do is decide between garden chairs, ghost chairs, Chivari ballroom chairs, folding chairs, benches and so on. And depending on the style of your wedding, sometimes that decision alone is enough. But many brides opt to go one step further, and choose chair covers that coordinate with their wedding colors. So did you know that there are many other options besides just chair covers? You can order chair pads for a little splash of color. Or hang ribbons, flowers or funky signs from the backs…really, the sky’s the limit when it comes to adding that extra little layer of pizzazz! At Classical Tents, we have many styles of chairs to choose from, and are more than happy to share our ideas for a unique way to add some personality to them. Be sure to set up your showroom visit today!

It has long been a tradition to give away small gifts to guests attending your party or wedding. Usually something that says something about the couple (or party girl/boy), these are a lot of fun to plan out. Party favors don’t need to be expensive, either…because believe me, it can add up fast if you have a large event…so being creative is definitely a must! We’ve compiled a few images of some interesting party favors other people have handed out!

Well, it’s official! The Save-the-Dates went out last week and we’re already beginning to get a lot of response! We’re so excited to be collaborating on the Lenox Wedding Tour again this year. Last year was such a huge success and with the new things we’ve added to this year’s Tour, we really think this one will be even better!
If you’re a wedding/event planner, a member of the bridal media, or involved in the Berkshires’ wedding industry in some capacity and would like to either be invited as a guest or sign up as a showcasing participant, please contact Katherine Lockridge at our office.

Driving through the Berkshires on the weekends, you may have noticed that we’re right in the thick of tag sale season (a personal favorite of mine)! As a very wise little girl once said, “Going to tag sales is like an adventure…you never know what you’ll find!” That’s SO true, and not always a pleasant thing… Anyway, if you’ve ever had a tag sale of your own, you know that all the work leading up to it isn’t as easy as people may think. Pulling everything out of those old boxes, determining a price, tagging everything, cleaning stuff if necessary, then setting up the garage/driveway with all of your available tables (or borrowed ones from family/friends) is a lot of work! You can only hope that you make lots of money!
Well this weekend I passed a tag sale that was being taken down and I thought “what a great idea!” This particular family rented a small tent and several tables from Classical Tents. Our guys delivered and set up the tent and placed the tables right where they needed to be…one less BIG task for the homeowners to handle. And really not as pricey as someone might think! So yes, we’re in the business of supplying the items for great parties, but we also have the products to just make some things in life easier! Next time you’re planning to downsize (or just no longer have a use for Aunt Mildred’s lovely crocheted toilet paper cover), give us a call and let us make your tag sale a little less work!
