Late last week, we showed you some images from our Fall styled shoot, hoping to give you some Thanksgiving table inspiration. Adding some fabulous throws to our vintage china, farm tables and cross back chairs gave our elegant, country dinner a warm, cozy vibe! And by using gorgeous floral centerpieces, along with some fun and feathery touches, our Ralph Lauren-inspired tablescape was complete.
Thanksgiving is one of our favorite times of the year. Our busy wedding season has slowed down and the holiday season actually give us a little bit of breathing time! And once you add in more time to spend with our families, it's no wonder why we love it so much!
If you're the one who's hosting the clan for turkey day, and you still haven't figured out what to do with your table, we have some ideas for you...and you may already have some of these things lying around your house!
This is why, at Classical Tents, we just KNEW we had to get some whiskey/wine barrels to add to our inventory. And boy, are we glad we did! Once we had our whiskey barrels sourced out (thank you Berkshire Mountain Distillers!), the ideas started rolling. We could offer whiskey barrel buffets, whiskey barrel bars, whiskey barrel side tables, whiskey barrel cocktail tables, whiskey barrel aisle markers...the possibilities are endless! And what a hit they've already been...used at some of our fall weddings in the Berkshires, and even at a fun "out in the field" farm dinner hosted by Heirloom Fire!
Winter in the Berkshires. We love it. We hate it. But whether we're ready or not, it's just around the corner! Lucky for us, that also means we're bound to see some beautiful winter weddings over the next few months! And I'll bet that at least one of those weddings will be designed according to one of the latest trends--Luxe Lodge! Now the summer version of this is called "Glamping," but for the sake of this blog post--and our upcoming cold weather months--we're going to tell you how to achieve this look! (And by the way, this isn't just for wedding decor, but also a wonderful way to transition your home for the season!)
We've all read the articles about "transforming an ugly venue." But being in the tent business, we've also come across couples who want to make the inside of their (ahem...already gorgeous!) tent look like some amazing chic new venue!
If you're in the midst of planning your outdoor wedding or event in the Berkshires, chances are you already know that weather can be a concern. We always stress to our clients that if they're hosting a backyard party (or open field wedding, parking lot corporate gala, etc...) they need to have a PLAN B! And even if you aren't concerned about the weather, but just want a beautiful structure to keep your guests covered, we have just the tent for you!
What are we spotting in 2016 wedding design? Lots of polka dots, ginghams, paisleys, plaids and --YES!--even animal prints! (I don't know about you, but I really haven't ever seen an animal print themed wedding that is done...well...tastefully. But to each his own, they say!) This influx of pattern can be seen on anything from wedding invitations to wedding cakes, bridesmaids' dresses to cupcake wrappers, napkins to bouquet ribbons and SO. MUCH. MORE.
Renting table linens to brides is a BIG part of our business! People don't always need a tent, but they ALWAYS need some way to cover their tables. Instead of covering your tables with a full cloth, a fun table runner is, often, all you need to add a little oomph (or shall we say "glam?") to your event! And depending on the type of tables you're using (think Farm Top Tables or All-Wood Tables), a table runner may be just what the doctor--er, planner--ordered!
Black and White--the mere mention of that duo conjures up images of all-things-classic! Black and white photographs, classic movies, tuxedos, decor... At Classical Tents, we believe that our black and white dance floor is timeless and unique, adding a classic element to any event. And SO fitting for a wedding!
There are SO many details that go into planning a wedding! Of course, there's the obvious--the when, the where, the dress, and so on. Then there are the colors, the flowers, the tablecloths, napkins, china centerpieces...the list goes on and on (and you may as well just keep your checkbook handy!). So we thought we'd let you in on a little bit of what we know about wedding cakes...
