Nicolina and Luke-Real Wedding

Here’s another Classical Tents “real wedding!”  This gorgeous couple chose the wonderful village of Lenox and Stonover Farms as the place to begin their wedded journey.  Using both a sailcloth tent and the amazing barn on the property, Nicolina and Luke’s wedding was truly to die for!  Thanks to Parris Whittingham for sending us over these images! Enjoy!

Lenox Wedding Tour invites brides to showcase event

Since last year’s Lenox Wedding Tour was such a huge success and so well received by all of the Berkshires’ top-notch wedding vendors, the committee has decided that this year we want to include brides!  A portion of the Tour, the Lenox Wedding Showcase Event and Cocktail Party will be open to prospective brides for a nominal fee.  We are confident that this will be beneficial to both the brides, who can consider it a “one-stop-shopping” kind of thing, and the wedding purveyors, alike.  What an excellent networking opportunity!  If you know someone who’s getting married and still needs to finalize her vendor selection, or wants to attend one of our mini-seminars during the event, please show them the invitation, below.  Oh! And did we mention that there will also be engagement-photo mini-sessions?!

Lenox Wedding Tour 2012!

Filed under: Latest News,Lenox Wedding Planner Tour — Tags: , , , — Classical Tents @ 5:30 am

We’re so excited to announce that we’ve already begun plugging away at this year’s Lenox Wedding Tour (note the shorter name!).  The Tour, which invites luxury event planners from around the globe, has been scheduled for November 12-15 and will include, once again (and by popular demand!) the Vendor Showcasing/Networking Event.  If you live in the area (despite the name, this is NOT exclusive to Lenox vendors), own a wedding-industry related business (i.e. caterer, photographer, winery, venue, etc.), and would like to be included, please contact our office for more details.  Last year, people raved about being given the opportunity to network with not only the amazing planners, but also other vendors in the area!  Here’s what John Seakwood had to say:

“Just wanted to thank all of you for your excellent work organizing the Lenox Wedding Planner Tour!  I thought it was a resounding success, and just the kind of event that the Berkshire community of wedding professionals needs to flourish. Not only did you introduce the Berkshires to planners who might not otherwise think of us, you also encouraged a sense of greater community amongst those presenting at the showcase. A win-win in every respect.

The tour was really well done, and I appreciate your efforts very much!”

Think Tank Luncheon

The main idea behind the Lenox Wedding Planner Tour was to educate event planners from around the country about the Berkshires and put our beautiful region at the top of their minds when they make suggestions to their “destination” brides.  So an integral part of our event was the Think Tank Luncheon, held at the Apple Tree Inn, which incorporated not only our committee and our guests, but also key members of our community (chamber members, journalists, members of the Berkshire Visitors Bureau, etc.).  This was where we could address questions the planners had about our region and listen to suggestions and ideas from them about how we could increase the destination wedding business in our area.  Take a look at some of the photos below, by photographer Ogden Gigli, that show us hard at work (and still having fun!)…

Table Design Challenge – Part 3

Our final entry about the Table Design Challenge brings us images from Tricia McCormack Photography, beautiful tablescapes from five of our guest planners and two more wonderful Lenox venues–Gateways Inn and Seven Hills Inn.  This “challenge” was so much fun…fun to see how each designer interpreted the inspiration invitations from Crane, fun to showcase the huge variety of linens, china, glassware, etc. that Classical Tents is able to provide and fun to see the clever use of other “found” design elements!  We especially love when people use our new farmtop tables!  Check out these images…we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
