Lauren & Eric’s Wedding at The Mount

When Edith Wharton designed her summer cottage in the Berkshires, we’re pretty sure she figured couples would use it for their weddings one day…it’s simply a spectacular place to get married!

And despite the heavy rains on Lauren and Eric’s wedding day, the mansion and surrounding gardens still made it a beautiful choice.  Instead of holding their ceremony in the garden, as they had planned, the two got married under our custom awning on the terrace.  Cocktail hour was also held here, and then the party really got started under our elegant sailcloth tent on the front lawn by the Stables!

Lighting by Julie Seitel really transformed this already-stunning tent, with its translucent fabric and topsails.  And our round tables with linens, cross back chairs, china, flatware and stemware perfectly set the tone for a memorable evening.
